| Notes for Johann Hermann OHLER |
| Johann Hermann Ohler was called a resident (Eingesessener) which in those days meant he was someone who had been in the community for a long time on a particular farm.13 Being a resident at the 15 farms meant he owned is own house or farm. The 15 farms formed a community. The farm was locate dat the road or street. This refers to the farm being near the trade road to Colgne-Dortmund which is now (circa 1985) B51. The place "at the road" first appears in 1741. More people came to the area when the road reconstruction began in 1730. |
