The Falcon trail is mentioned as one of the best in the area by the local bike shop. It has some very technical sections and some that sections that become technical only because the extremely loose gravel and rocks on an incline that would otherwise be rideable. It gets frustrating at times as both Lynne and I had to walk many sections. Other sections offered challenges to overcome (Lynne might disagree). The trail is very well marked and well maintained, except for the loose rock hill sections. It is definately worth riding.

The trail travels through many different environments from stream crossing to pine trees along rock walls.

Some parts of the trail are in the open and many sections are on steep hills like the one on the right where I almost bit it. That would have hurt but luckly after riding the front wheel for a few adrenaline filled moments I managed to recover.
There was much to look at off the trail as well. Views of the cadet area along part of the trail were plentiful and closeups of calm spots along the trail were worth pausing at.
