Gravel Bike
The mountain bike riding season is pretty short up north in Huntsville Ontario with the optimum season bracketed with wet weather before and after the winter snows. A gravel bike allows for riding some of the gravel roads. It was also a good excuse to try out my welding skills knowing the welds would not be very pretty. The other motivation was having a bike with me on a one month stay in Japan with road ride.
Sadly the bike was not ready for the Japan trip. Close but not quite. It is ready for the thaw in the spring though.
It's a pretty basic bike with parts from previous bikes, mostly from the green bike. The bottom bracket is different in that the chainstay in bolted on to the bottom bracket so it can be removed and the bike should fit in a airline legal suitcase (26x26x10 inches)
Last but not least is the Doppio CX geared bottom bracket giving the bike two gears. Belt drive with two gears, I'm getting soft in my old age.
