It's a Moots. The fifth Moots
Uno (single speed) made.Very nice ride and handles great. The stem
is now a Moots stem. Here's what it's made of:
- Moots Uno frame
- Rockshox 2001 SID SL front fork with lockout
- Avid Extreme brakes
- Easton carbon fiber Monkey Lite bars
- Easton carbon fiber CT2 seat post
- WTB SST 98 seat
- Mavic ceramic rims with titanium spokes
- Ritchey SpeedMax tires (changes all the time)
- Raceface Turbine LP 180mm Compact cranks
- Chris King hubs on one set of wheels, Paul on the other
- Phil Wood Alloy Cartridge - Titanium Axle bottom bracket
- Shimano SPD 858
The final weight is 20.5 pounds with light tires. Add another pound
for the 2.4 inch Continental Survival Pro tires that I like to use.
I've been running 32/16 gearing for the terrain around here in
the San Francisco bay area. Seems to work pretty well. When I go
to Utah it goes to 30/16 to help deal with the lack of air at 8000+
feet. When the trails are too wet I swap out the wheels and run
44/16 or 32/12 on the road. Kind of fun when it's too muddy for
the trails.
